Special Village Board Meeting
December 28, 2011

6:00 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by President S. Agen at 6:00 p.m. Roll Call: S. Agen, Beaver, Lurvey, Tietz, Weiss, and Mueller -present. Turner-excused
1. Motion by Tietz, second by Lurvey to convene into closed session for deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session pursuant to §19.85(1)(e) Specifically to be discussed are issues relating to the Village Fire and EMS protection, in furtherance of the negotiations referenced above. Roll Call vote: S. Agen, Beaver, Lurvey, Tietz, Weiss, and Mueller -aye.
Motion by Mueller, second by Lurvey to reconvene into open session at 7:05 p.m. Roll Call vote: Agen, Beaver, Lurvey, Tietz, Weiss, Mueller – aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Lurvey, second by Beaver to extend the contract for Fire and EMS Services for the Town of Palmyra’s review with the changes that the Village Board made in closed session with their attorney and authorizing Susan Agen as Village President to sign the agreement when necessary. Roll Call vote: Agen, Beaver, Lurvey, Tietz, Weiss, Mueller – aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Lurvey, second by Beaver to convene into closed session at 7:07 p.m. pursuant to 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility specifically positions for fire and EMS employees for the village of Palmyra fire and rescue department. Roll Call vote: Agen, Beaver, Lurvey, Tietz, Weiss, Mueller – aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Lurvey, second by Beaver to reconvene into open session at 8:45 p.m. Roll Call vote: Agen, Beaver, Lurvey, Tietz, Weiss, Mueller – aye. Motion carried. No action taken, just some discussion with Larry Kreger and Jeff Rolfe.
2. Motion by Lurvey, second by Weiss to change the first village board meeting in January to Tuesday Jan. 3rd, 2012. All ayes-carried.
There being no further business, motion by Mueller, second by Tietz to adjourn the meeting at 8:51 p.m. All ayes, motion carried.
